I'm very disappointed in myself today. Miya had to go back to her heart specialist to see how the medication has been helping her. I had to admit to him that I haven't been able to get all the medication in her and that I have even missed whole days between doses. They gave her a thorough examination followed by diagnostic tests including an Echocardiogram. The tests show a mild progression of her heart disease and they encouraged me to continue trying to get both doses a day in her and if that is impossible, to switch to one dose a day (both doses combined into one). The student who worked with us before Dr. Hodge came in was a very nice young man. His name is Dr. Honey - yep - and that is what he was - a real honey. I bet he just loves his name bless his heart. Miya kept trying to find a way to jump on the top shelf. Eventually she found a hiding spot on the bottom sliding drawer of the desk and Dr. Honey had to go digging for her. Since they sedated her for the diagnostic tests, she has been very lethargic since we got home. She came out to drink some water and went right back into her carrier. I need to get her medicine in her before I go to bed and I hate it but it has to be done. I snatched a picture of two dear friends from across the Pond from FB to share. They look great and I think of them both so often. They made our trip to
England so much more than it would have been without them. I also ran across this picture of Boy and Page from almost 4 1/2 years ago at the coast. I was overwhelmed by how beautiful they both are here and by the fact they are still such good friends in spite of their age difference. I put it on FB and Leah wrote that it made her tear up when she looked at it. I understood exactly what she meant ...the innocence of those times. We got some great news about our taxes tonight - we aren't going to have to borrow any money to pay them this year! Woo Hoo! I love our Accountant - she is not only so sweet and loving, but she is smart and cares about us. How could you ask for more than that. So now that I've eaten my Krispy Kreme doughnuts and paid our Sales Tax for the first quarter (on time), I'll go to bed. A busy day ahead tomorrow. And life goes on........
